Hello! A lot of my friends already know where I'm best at aside from sleeping. that is, cooking. Food. Meal. Viand. Preparing food has always been an ecstasy to me which I can't escape. I make simple recipes into "my extraordinary version". I'm not bragging that I make awesome food but hell yeah, I can make my loved ones crave for more. My best critique at home is my dad. He frankly say to me when the chicken is cooked raw, when the soup tastes bland, or when the viand is salty. Although he is a bit harsh telling what's exactly wrong about my dish, I take every comments as a constructive criticism. I'm still learning and still willing to learn some more.
Aside from cooking meals, can I just confess that I have a sweet tooth? I have this strange connection with sugars, chocolates, icings, cookies, pancakes, cupcakes. Anything sweet, and just to sum it up, I love desserts! I can marry them. Legit.
Oreo cookies are my forever favorite. I used to twist it, lick it, and dunk it on my glass full of milk when I was a little girl. But now that I'm a grown up, doing the same thing seems to be not fun anymore. I tried making wicked oreos but then again, I wanted to try something new. So I asked my good friend, Google for some easy and quick recipes for Oreos. Then I found this blog site Picky Palate. You can check it if you want. The blogger has this awesome recipe that only needs 3 precious ingredients and she called it No-Bake Chewy Cookies and Cream Bars. Since I'm not a "bake-person", I found this interesting and easy.

So here's the 3 ingredients: Oreo cookies, butter, and marshmallows. To make it more "me", I added cream cheese to my ingredients. I love cream cheese. The sour-salty taste that my buds would surely enjoy.

I crushed the Oreos. I used ziploc and wine bottle to break it into smaller pieces. Be sure it's crumbly not ground! After such, I melted the marshmallows and butter in a large microwave-safe bowl until puffy. I removed it then combined it with the Oreos. Stirred the whole thing then transferred it to the container.

I let it settle for 20 minutes then put it in the fridge overnight.
Morning came. I checked it and this is what it looks like.

I call this my Chewy Oreo Cream Cheese Bars!

NOM NOM

Btw, my dad wanted me to make another one. He surprisingly liked it. Yey for me!

The City of Vigan annually celebrates Halloween with different activities that entertains Biguenos and tourists. Last October 28, 2012, me and my relatives watched the Float Parade at Calle Crisologo. It started super late and we were all impatient to wait. Who wants to wait long anyway? Lol. After 25364 hours, there came the parade.

Vigan's version of Elvis Presley

Cosplay or Kamatayan?

I think this is Poseidon

This is my nephew Kenette carrying our little princess, Joie. Isn't she scared much?

There came the creepy lady.

Last Sunday, I spent my whole day with someone dear to me. At around 5 PM, I was about to leave Vigan when my cousin, Agnes went to our family house. I joked her to treat us coffee then unbelievably, she agreed right away. So we went straight to Cafe Uno.

Cafe Uno's Halloween theme. Creepyyy

I planned to wear this new polo that day since we attended mass in the morning. I have this habit of using my new things first at Church because mom would say it's good that God will bless my new stuffs before I wear it somewhere else. Yeah, my mother is THIS religious. Lol. Btw, bought this polo at Forever 21.

We were the only customers that time so I grabbed the opportunity and did outfit shots! Oh yeah, the things you do for blogging!

This Ray-Ban sunnies was actually Aica's.

I ate Shrimp Pesto. Any food with pesto has always been a win win to me. I love how the different herbs & spices make an awesome taste.

Creamy Tuna Spaghetti

Carbonara

Choco Banana

Latteccino Caramel

After we ate, we went to Calle Crisologo and watched the Float Parade. I will be posting about that soon!

It's always a ritual to bond with my HS bestfriends every break. We started this get together since we all got in different universities. We usually celebrate catching ups by the pool but now we planned something new. Dinner and drinks at my place. Sadly, we were not complete. But yeah, we still pulled the fun out.

Prepared dinner with the help of ate Anna.

grilled pork chop

fresh apples

Chopseuy

I cooked spicy fried chicken all by myself. Oops! Let me not forget, my best friend Chezka helped me with the coating part. Lol

Some of the Frisky Untouchables (FU)

L-R: Charm, Mariam, Jovanie, Diana, and Chezka

Dinner toime!

We had a few drinks at Chezka's crib then headed back to my place and slept. Woke up at around 7AM and went to the beach.

We ate breakfast at Puerto Beach. It's a gray sand beach near my place. We had a lot of "reminiscing high school stuffs" and more talks about college life.

Making the last days of sem break worthwhile.
Another good time spent with my high school loves.
