Remember my bucketlist during the break? Well, there was this one thing that really challenged me, and that was to make 20 different recipes. If you happen to visit my blog a lot, you would know about my love for cooking. It has always been my pleasure to cook. Maybe the reason why I love cooking is that I love eating too! I'm a certified foodie, I must admit.
Although I'm super weight conscious, I always see to it that I don't refuse God's most abundant gift to us and that is food. And by not refusing such, I get to eat more than the normal amount I should be having. Then I end up having this guilt feeling. A feeling that I would've eaten just the right amount. Haha! Going back, unfortunately I wasn't able to make 20 recipes for a reason that I didn't have much time to cook since I was so busy with other things (catching up with friends, bonding with my family, and spending time with my baby boy :3) The good thing was at least I tried and I was able to make 12 recipes! Here are the following:
Recipe #1: CREPES (with Nutella, Cream Cheese, Kiwi, and Banana filling)
I made this for my father's lunch gathering with his HS batch mates at our house. You can check my previous post about this HERE.
Recipe #2: Breaded Chicken and Spanish Sardines Penne
I cooked this for our packed merienda at Loyola Cemetery on All Soul's Day.
Recipe #3: POTATO ROLLS
I first tried Potato Rolls at UST and ever since I tasted it, I just can't get enough. So on my sister's birthday last Nov. 3, I made some! It was a good alternative of our usual "pritong lumpia". Instead of meat, mashed potatoes were stuffed inside with cheese and ham.
Recipe #4: Classic Graham Cake
This was the tallest Graham Cake I've ever done in my whole life! It's a 14-layer cake. How awesome is that? I'll try to do a 30-layer Graham Cake next time. Lol
Recipe #5: Chicken Lollipops
Who would say no to this crispy midgets, fun size Chicken Lollipops?
Recipe #6: Cream Dory with Pesto and Mixed Veggies
This was the first dish I cooked for my parents when I was in a vacation. My dad loves pesto and fish so maybe that was the reason why he didn't say any bad comments about my dish. lol
Recipe #7: Korean Fried Chicken
My favorite chicken part? Thigh! Why? Because it is the juiciest part of the chicken! My favorite cousin and best friend came to our house and so I cooked Korean Fried Chicken for them.
Recipe #8: Spicy Tuna Bow Tie Pasta
I cooked this for my mother's friends when they came to our house for Mahjong.
Recipe #9: Rainbow Pancakes
Our "not so rainbow pancakes" made by me, my cousin, shobe and best friend. Haha! Read about it HERE.
Recipe #10: Pinoy Style Spicy Fried Chicken
I cooked this for my HS best friends. They had dinner at my place and o'night. Read about it HERE.
Recipe #11: The Ilocos pride, Crispy Bagnet
Yes, they say deep frying is easy. Anybody can do it. But the questions would be "Was it cooked well? Was it crunchy?" This is one of the things I'm proud of; I make Bagnet, extra extra crispy you wouldn't stop eating!
Of course the Crispy Bagnet wouldn't be complete without tomatoes, spring onions, and fish sauce combined together!
Recipe #12: Chewy Oreo Cream Cheese Bars
The name says it all. I made this for my 2 nieces but turned out my dad and brother-in-law ate everything so I had to make another one! Check out my story about this HERE.
I hope I made your visions sated!
Feel free to comment and ask me anything about the recipes!
