PASKUHAN '12
Excited ka na ba?
Handa ka na ba?
May isusuot ka na ba?
May kasama ka na ba?

These are just some of the questions that keep on playing on my mind after the mind blowing exams last week. Paskuhan 2012. What is it all about? What makes my subconscious process all these questions? Well, let me talk to you about it. Paskuhan is the annual Christmas celebration of University of Santo Tomas which also serves as the year-end party for the whole Thomasian community.

The Paskuhan, being a treat for students, is geared with a lot of surprises! The raffle draw which you can win flat TV, netbook, cellphone, and a whole lot more, and the guest showbiz stars and comedians who will be entertaining us are just some. Of course, it won't be complete without the guest bands like Urbandub, Spongecola, and Join The Club to name a few that will jam with the awesome crowd. But, let me just emphasize the real highlight of the event, the much awaited, the breathtaking, thrilling, one-of-a-kind UST Pyromusical show. The most awesome firework display that will make your jaw drop. The most beautiful scene that will make you say wow in every firework that lights the dark sky. No wonder how this event really makes the students look forward to, either Thomasians or not. It is an event that every student should not miss. It is an event that everybody must attend. Why? Because it is simply the best Christmas party!

Anyway, awhile ago we attended the Paskuhan Mass held at the Grandstand and the Agape Dinner at the Medicine Building. I can describe the massive urge of my fellow students as similar to that of the "pilahan ng NFA rice." Lol. But seriously, there were very long lines in each food station. Definitely, we patiently waited in every line and we made our very best to get as much food as we can. We got a lot of Chicken and Lechon. Sadly, we ran out of the beef. Nonetheless, we were all satiated and bloated with the food that we had.

Now, I could totally say that I already have the Paskuhan Fever, literally and figuratively. I've been a sick kid since last week because of my weak body. And to this moment, I am really hyped to the Paskuhan '12! I can feel it rushing through my veins, triggering my adrenal glands to produce adrenaline hormones that would make me more and more excited on this event! I know that this year's Paskuhan will be epic. With good company and good vibes, I'm sure we will make it happen.

Orange and Aztec are two of my recent madness in the world. The different geometric lines of Aztec make me want to stare at them and the next thing I know, I'm already stoked with this trend. In this outfit, I joined these two. My favorite color plus the Aztec prints! I was really surprised that it totally looked nice! Like seriously, I was a bit hesitant that I would look like a walking Ponkan with the orange hue but I didn't! (well at least for me! Haha!) I matched my "orangeness" with my colorful Aztec wedges. Aztec wedges are to die for! They're really a must-have! When I saw this pair, I bought it right away. I was so good I tricked my sister to pay half of the price.

How do I look? ;)

"Aztec and Orange" was Posted On: Friday, December 14, 2012 @6:20 AM | lovely comments

Hi everyone! I am posting this long overdue outfit shots I had several weeks ago. If you always visit my blog, you already know how much I love orange. Needless to say, the reason why I bought another orange sheer top! I matched it with my high-waist shorts and sandals. I managed to braid my hair (since I was feeling a bit Katniss Everdeen that day lol) and used my niece's pink flower headband to make the look more playful. It turned out to be a cray and cute look!

PS. Because my blockies keep on singing this song... I shall diagnose myself with The Last Song Syndrome. HAHAHA

How do I look? ;)

"All I am, I owe to my mother." -George Washington

Last December 3, 2012, the woman who brought me in this world, the woman I call my supermomma, celebrated her birthday. Since it was her 60th, my relatives, my siblings, and I planned a surprise party for her. Everyone was cooperative and helpful for this surprise. We gathered every person near to her heart. We made sure everything will run smoothly the way we wanted it to be. Thank God, it was perfectly done.

Let me tell to you about the "plan". Obviously, because it was a surprise, my mama was clueless. What she only knew was there will just be a family dinner at Uno Grille. In the afternoon, my mama and sister went to the salon for some "pamper me" time. After such, they went home to change their clothes. I was already at the venue then for I was in charge with the guests. While they were on their way to Vigan, tita Linda called mama saying "Mare, pasundo naman ako dito sa Santa Elena, in-invite din kasi ako ni Jieboy."  Then she started wondering why tita Linda would ask them to fetch her. She have several cars and drivers. Despite the question on her mind, she still agreed to it. When they reached the place, we already prepared for the big surprise. Tita Linda asked mama to go down from the car and check "something" inside the function hall. While they were about to go inside, mom was already fluttering with excitement. She knew from that moment on, it wasn't going to be a simple dinner anymore. As she entered the venue, we welcomed her with a Happy Birthday song and she started crying. No wonder those tears were tears of happiness. By the time she calmed herself, we started the program. To cut this short, let the photos do the talking on how happy everyone were, especially my dearest mama. :)

Few hours before the surprise, I took photos of the place.

I made a speech for mom about who she is as a mother. I was supposed to sing too but the night before the event, I caught a flu. So sad.

Ate Bren saying her words about who my mom is as an Aunt.

Engr. Ruben, my mom's batchmate saying something about who my mother is as a friend.

After the speeches, we sang another Happy birthday song then mom blew her candles.

Sadly, we were not complete. My eldest sister Fia and other sister Francina, were not present for some reasons. But, I am sure on the 23rd of December (mom's second birthday party), we will all be complete!
